Acer Computer announced today the availability of Acer Aspire One netbook. The Aspire One comes equipped with Intel Atom N270 processor 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM and a choice between Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home edition. It also has a beautiful 8.9-inch backlit LED panel with a resolution of 1024×600.

It comes with 120 GB HDD. The base model of Aspire One offers only a 3-cell battery but you can get a 6-cell battery that increases available battery life to 5.5 hours by paying an amount of Rs 1200. It also makes it possible to carry a spare cell hence increasing the battery life by another 5 hours as the battery is user replaceable.It weighs just under 1 Kg.

The Aspire One is equipped with the Intel Atom processor and is being launched exclusively by Croma across the top markets of Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune and Baroda for a cost of Rs. 21,999 for the XP edition and Rs. 19,999 for the Linux based machine.
