Printer resolution : A printer’s resolution is the maximum number of dots per inch that can be printed. A resolution of 900×900 dots per inch (dpi) means that there are 900 vertical dots and 900 horizontal dots in every square inch.The higher the resolution, the better the print quality.
Printer Speed : This is usually given in pages printed per minute to printer, where the page consists of plain text with 5 percent of the printable page covered in ink or toner.
Graphics and Printer-language support: if you plan to print Graphics. it should support one or more of the popular printer languages, such as Adobe PostScript and Hewlett Packard’s LaserJet Printer Control Language (PCL).
Connectivity Port – All printers feature either USB 1.1 or the faster USB 2.0 connection, and some have both.compare your computer hardware & printer for better printing purpose.
Printer Memory: Laser printers that will be used to print complex graphics & many more and full-color images & high end graphics require larger amounts of memory than those that print simple text only. In many cases, this memory can be added as an option.
Cost of Paper : Printing require special paper. some printer may require special quality paper to print high quality image or text.
Cost of consumables : When comparing the various cost of printer & paper, be sure to compare the cost behind each page for printing, rather than just the cost of a replacement ink or toner cartridge
